When we arrived we went to our rooms and unpacked. We came down and had some lunch. Then everyone else started to arrive. Then we started getting ready for dinner. After dinner we sat in the lounge and just talked. Then we went to bed.
Friday 31st
We got up and came down for breakfast. We got in to a group and went in to Southport town. We had lunch in town. I brought a fancy shirt and a new bow tie. Then we started to head back. When we got back rest as we would be staying up late. I got changed in to some smart clothes for New Year and came down for dinner. We then had a choice of red or white wine. They then announced that dinner was ready by playing the bag pipes. We went in for dinner and had a five course meal. There was a lot of entertainment for a few hours. Then the count down for New Year started. At midnight a massive balloon exploded and lots of smaller balloons fell out. We then sang old Lang sign. Then we had some champagne I then went to bed at one o’clock.
Saturday 1st
I woke and came down for breakfast. And then had a swim. We then went into Southport town again. We then came back and had lunch. I then had a rest in my room. I then got changed and came down for dinner. We then had entertainment all night. Then I went to bed.
Sunday 2nd
I got up for breakfast and ate. Then we came in the lounge and just talked. We then went to a pantomime and watched Aladdin we then came back and had dinner at the hotel. Then we went to bed.
Monday 3rd
We woke up and had breakfast. then people started to go home.
