Morocco 2015
17th November
Daniel, Hannah Michael and Anwar, along with Debby and Neale, our Holiday Supporter’s, all met at Gatwick Airport. On arrival in Morocco, we took a taxi to our hotel, Iberostar. After unpacking, we familiarised ourselves with the hotel and after dinner, everyone had an early night.

18th November
We all met for breakfast before heading for the pool. Hannah chose to go swimming, Anwar explored the grounds of the hotel and chatted to other holidaymakers and staff, whilst Daniel and Michael sunbathed. In the evening, we listened to music and watched people dancing in the hotels bar area.

19th November
After breakfast, we sunbathed a little more. Hannah and Daniel played darts with the hotel staff and other guests. In the afternoon, we went swimming. Once dried off, we all visited the hotel complex shopping area. After our evening meal, we watched a show called “Moroccan Nights” featuring acrobatics and dancing, the latter Hannah joining in with!

20th November
At breakfast, we all decided together what trip to take and booked our choice with the Tour Rep. We chose a City Tour for the following day, but for today, Daniel, Debby and Neale played French Boule with two French hotel guests. Daniel enjoyed the game immensely. After dinner, we all walked along the promenade and viewed a hill illuminated with Arabic text.

21st November
We awoke early to ready ourselves for the City Tour. We took a minibus with other hotel guests and travelled to the marina where we saw fishing boats and how they were made. We were able to see The Kasbar, camels and a mosque, and of course took photos of the view! We then proceeded to the Almond Factory to learn of its oil production. Finally, we went shopping at the Souk.

22nd November
In the morning, we all walked to the shops to buy souvenirs and gifts. In some of the shops we haggled for a good price; Anwar was particularly good at this and obtained a good price by walking away from a vendor until he gave Anwar the price he was happy with. Eventually we left, but had 11 bags of shopping between us! This was a good experience for us all, and by the time we left the shops we had become experts at haggling.

23rd November
We spent the day relaxing and by the pool before packing for our travel homewards, but not before we went swimming, sunbathed and visited the hotel shops once again for some last minute gifts.
