Monday 29th July
We all arrived at the hotel at around 4pm and were shown to our rooms,
which are all ensuite and had a TV. The rooms were very comfortable.
After dinner we listened to the entertainment in the bar, which was a
singer. |

Tuesday 30th July
Today we explored Morecambe. We all posed by the statue of Eric
Morecambe and then hit the shops. There is a very good indoor market as
well. We had lunch in a pub and headed out to the RNLI station. We then
went back to the hotel for dinner and the evening entertainment which
was a keyboard player who was also a comedian. |
Wednesday 31st July
Today we went to Lancaster. We found the street market and we had a look
around Lancaster Castle. After the castle we went for a pub lunch and
then we went to the canal. We were able to go on a canal boat for a
lovely trip along the canal. Later we had a really nice meal at the
hotel followed by the entertainment, although some of us preferred to
watch football on the TV. |

Thursday 1st August
We visited a small zoo today, it was still large enough to home lots of
animals for us to see. We were able to hold some insects and a snake! (well
some of us held the snake!) We were also able to feed the meerkats.
After the zoo we went to get a well deserved ice cream (we are on
holiday!). |
Friday 2nd August
Today we enjoyed going for a tour around Lake Windermere. We had to
cross the lake by car ferry, on both journeys there and back, which was
interesting. We had lunch in a cafe and then saw the house where Beatrix
Potter (the famous author) had lived. |
