Sunday 20th August

We arrived in good time and were assigned our tent. We had a few small issues with the sleeping bags but this was all sorted out . We were given a list of activities for the period of the Festival along with some general Information about the site. Once we all settled in we had our evening meal which was spaghetti bolognaise and then we 'disco'd' the night away at the welcome party before turning in for the night.

Fishing Monday 21st August

After a cooked breakfast we headed towards the main hall in order to queue and book the activities we wanted to do for the day. Darren wanted to do trampolining along with some Circus skills. Otis tried his hand at the climbing wall and then the zip- wire. After lunch Otis went fishing and caught a 5lb fish ! Darren enjoyed the pedal carts. In the evening our meal was roast pork and we went to Big Jim's disco, in the main hall.
Tuesday 22nd August

We all slept very well last night in our tent. This morning after a cooked breakfast Otis practised for the Community Radio that is coming tomorrow. Darren practised his Circus skills again. Later Otis went on to do Archery. After lunch both Darren and Otis joined the 'Band workshop' activity. This involved making a lot of noise, some of it musical! In the eveneing there was a themed party. The theme was red, white and blue so we all dressed in those colours. There was a live band called 'Popgun'.

Speed Boat Wednesday 23rd August

This morning Darren chose the Crabbing activity and he caught lots of crabs! Otis made a brief appearance on the live community radio, I think he experienced a little bit of stage fright. In the afternoon we went for a speed boat ride off the beach, this was very exciting.
In the evening there was a Camp Concert in the Main Hall followed by a disco. The concert was hosted by the staff and guests of the camp and it was very funny. There was also an option of a Big Screen Cinema in the dining room.
Thursday 24th August

Today Otis chose to go crabbing in the morning and he caught lots of them. He treated himself to a lovely hot chocolate in celebration. Darren chose to take part in the Quad bike activity. He enjoyed it so much he kept going on them all day. Otis joined in the Quad bike activity in the afternoon and drove both the quad bike and the argocats. The afternoon was rounded off by a spot of archery. In the evening there was a concert by the 'Phaze 2 Caribbean Steel Band'. Along with an International Fancy dress party.

pedal Kart Friday 25th August

Our last day and with sadness we had to go home. Today there was breakfast in the dining hall followed by a video of the festival in the main hall. There had been so many activities to chose from at the festival and entertainment each night and Darren and Otis had enjoyed a great holiday.
