Monday 27th May
After meeting up we all travelled by ferry, enjoying the views and
sunshine. We arrived at our hotel, unpacked and enjoyed a 'cuppa' before
heading to dinner. Dinner was amazing! Finally we went for a drink in
the bar and listened to some singers. |
|

Tuesday 28th May
Today we enjoyed a delicious breakfast then booked our activities for
the day. First we went and had a go at being 'Robin Hood', shooting a bow
and arrow in archery. Then we took to the dance floor for a line dancing
lesson. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with a sea view then went to the
cinema. Afterwards we did Origami and had a go at the quiz. In the
evening we ate dinner and then went to watch some live music. We even
had a dance! |
Wednesday 29th May
We got up and headed to breakfast, most of us had a full English!
Afterwards we booked our activities and headed to shoot some crossbows.
We then sat in the bar and had a 'cuppa' hoping the rain would stop! Then
we ate lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon we entered the quiz, it was
a TV theme tune quiz and we won! After that we went to a towel folding
class and made swans, snakes, crabs and a chicken from towels. In the
evening we had another great meal and watched a 'Michael Ball & Alfie
Bow Tribute Act'. |

Thursday 30th May
After yet another lovely breakfast we went to The Needles, Steven and
Leanne went up on the chairlift to see the spectacular views. We all
went to see how the sweets were made in the factory and of course we
bought some to try. We had lunch at The Needles. We went to the famous
sand shop and filled ornaments with different coloured sand and visited
many shops. After yet another lovely evening meal we went to a cabaret
show. |
Friday 31st May
Today we went to Cowes and went on the floating bridge. Then on to
Arreton Barn Craft Village. We saw glass blowing and many unusual shapes
all hand made. We painted some pots to take home, it was an amazing day.
We had lunch in The Dairyman's Daughter pub and managed to get ice
creams and sit in the sun before coming back to the hotel. After our
tasty evening meal we headed to the bar where we watched the 'First
Night Fizz' show and had a little boogie. |

Saturday 1st June
This morning, after breakfast, we got onto the minibus and headed to
Ryde. We strolled along the esplanade and enjoyed a drink and ice cream
in a sea view cafe. We could see Portsmouth across the water! We got a
cafe take away and sat by the sea wall for lunch. In the afternoon we
took the pier train and watched the hovercraft go to and from
Portsmouth. After dinner we went to the bar and had a dance to a 'Ska
band'. |
Sunday 2nd June
Today we had our final breakfast in the restaurant. The ladies wanted to
sit in the bar to do the quiz and some colouring. Whilst the gents went
to do some souvenir shopping. We went to a lovely tea room for lunch and
then back to the hotel. In the afternoon we packed and showered. After
our last supper we headed to the bar for one last dance and sing along.. |

Monday 3rd June
Early start today, leaving the hotel at 6:30am. We had a takeaway
breakfast from the hotel and headed to our 8:00am ferry and home.
