Thursday 29th March

Today is Maundy Thursday and we had a Passover meal at a local restaurant.
 
butterfly Friday 30th March

Today is Good Friday and we travelled to Ross on Wye and while there had hot cross buns. While in the local church we shared our hopes and dreams anonymously. We enjoyed a lunch at Symonds Yat, a picturesque location in the Wye valley. Then on to a butterfly museum to admire the wide range of beautiful butterflies. In the evening we had dinner at 7pm and then drinks at the bar.
Saturday 31st March

It is Holy Saturday today. In the morning we all got involved in some craft work. Later we went to Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire to watch a film called 'Mary Magdalene' based around the New Testament. In the evening some went to the church service which was around a bonfire. Others stayed and watched a live magician at the hotel.

craft Sunday 1st April

Today is Easter Sunday and we went to a church service in the morning. Some took part in the egg rolling activity at the church. We had a late Sunday lunch and then enjoyed more of our crafting activities.
Monday 2nd April

It is Easter Monday and we are doing our crafting this morning. Today we are making a collage. Later we went to The Carnival of Transport which is held each year in the streets of Coleford, every Easter Monday.It is a chance to see old and historic forms of transport.

Gloucester Cathedral Tuesday 3rd April

We carried on with our craft work on the collage along with our 'Stations of the Cross' project in the morning. In the afternoon we travelled to Gloucester where we had lunch in the Cathedral . We also had a tour of the Cathedral including the parts of the Cathedral used in the "Harry Potter" films.
Wednesday 4th April

Today we did some craft work with a lady called Ann. Some of the group then went to the cinema in Coleford to see 'Peter Rabbit'. Some went to Monmouth and enjoyed a pub lunch in The Robin Hood pub along with a chance to do some shopping in Monmouth.

Cafe Thursday 5th April

After a craft session we went to a Farm Shop for lunch on the outskirts of Cirencester. It also had an organic farm shop attached to the cafe. After lunch we travelled the short journey to Cirencester where we saw a musical performance of The Secret Garden at The Barn Theatre.
Friday 6th April

This morning the craft session took place in the 'Church on the street' in Coleford. The craft session involved making bags. In the afternoon we visited 'Nature in Art' on the outskirts of Gloucester. In the evening we had a lovely meal followed by the entertainment and a chance for those who wanted to to join in with the dancing.

coffee Saturday 7th April

We spent the day in The Quay's Shopping Centre, this is an outlet shopping Mall located close to The Waterways museum and the historic docks of Gloucester. Some of the group decided their favourite shop was the Cadbury Shop. (lots of Easter eggs and chocolate on sale!) We had our lunch at The Quay's and some enjoyed a coffee with some heart chocolate stencil put on top of it !

Our last day and time for everyone to make their way back home.
