Friday 14th July
We all met up at the Cotswold Barn where we will be staying, for our
holiday. We were all looking forward to the Air show tomorrow. In the
evening after dinner we went to the local pub for a couple of drinks and
to get to know each other. |

Saturday 15th July
After breakfast , we sorted out everything we would need for the day and
headed off to the Air show. We had a good look around some of the planes
and saw inside a Canadian aeroplane. We loved all the helicopters and
the stealth aeroplanes. We then sat down to watch some of the air
displays and also had our picnic lunch. Mark was excited to see his
favourite plane 'Sally B' (a boeing B17 fly fortress). He also loved
seeing the Lancaster bomber. Tim also enjoyed the air displays. Everyone
enjoyed looking at the various stalls. By the time we all came back to
our holiday home we had all had a great day but we were tired from the
days outing. |
Sunday 16th July
Today we got up early again and got ready for our day at the Air Tattoo.
Once we arrived at the show we made our way to the enclosure in order to
set ourselves up for the day. We soon became engrossed in the air
displays, watching the Thunderbirds, red arrows, the B52 and again the
World War II memorial flight. We had a look around the stalls and Gordon
and Mark found some model planes that they purchased. Stephen bought a
hat and Roy had an ice-cream.(It is only a holiday once you have had
your first ice-cream !) Later in the afternoon, Gordon, Roy and Stephen
decided they would like to return to the Barn. Mark and Tim remained
with Phil to watch the displays right to the very end. Everyone had a
fabulous day, Tim said the displays were the best. |
