Sunday 19th March

We arrived at the hotel and settled into our rooms. Tom and Ryan discovered the swimming pool almost immediately, the rest of us unpacked and had a welcome cup of tea, followed by a nice buffet style 3 course dinner, where we were all able to choose what we wanted from the choice of dishes on display. After dinner, we went to the bar and spent some time choosing what activities we would like to do during the week.

Archery Monday 20th March

After a really tasty buffet breakfast, some of us went to a pottery painting workshop where we stencilled and painted mugs along with other items. We all went off to do different activities, with a choice including archery (the apples were quite safe), hydrostatic (mainly ladies), making candles and fitness centre. Dinner was a three course buffet, causing us to put back on any calories that we had lost during the day.
Tuesday 21st March

This morning we all went ‘potty’. Some of us made pots and mugs and plates, then some painted their pots, some put transfers onto pots, and in the afternoon the pottery theme continued with printing on pots, as well as screen printing. Some of us also went climbing on a motorised wall, while others got their exercise by dancing ‘Bollywood style’. In the evening we watched a Blues Brothers Tribute Group and took part in a bingo and quiz.

Dancing Wednesday 22nd March

We took our time getting ready this morning and after a delayed breakfast those who had to finish their pottery went off to complete it. Another group went to take part in shooting an air pistol. We also tried line dancing and some of our party had an enjoyable time glass engraving. In the afternoon some of the group took part in painting different sorts of ceramics or patchwork. Sarah had a massage, while Stacy & Becky went roller skating. Later some went swimming and had a relaxing time in the jacuzzi. In the evening, after dinner the entertainment consisted of a magic show.
Thursday 23rd March

This morning some of the ladies had a go at making jewellery while others painted pots and some of the fellers either got fit or played pool. Afterwards most of us had a go at designing and painting the shirts. After lunch, we spent some time finishing off all the things we had started and then went for a swim. 10 pin bowling is so popular we just had to have another go. Tonight, we have a cabaret show to enjoy
