Monday 16th April

We travelled to The Manor House Hotel in Devon, taking a break at the half way point in a cafe. Once we had arrived and settled in we decided which activities we would like to sign up to for the week ahead. We then had our evening meal and then sang and danced to the entertainment before going back to our rooms. We all needed a sleep after our long day.

evening meal Tuesday 17th April

Today we split into 2 groups, with some doing pottery and some even had a go on a pottery wheel! The other group took part in Hot Press Printing Photos, on to canvas or mugs. Some then enjoyed making cards. We then had our lunch and later took a dip in the jacuzzi, tried the saunas and steam room in the Hydro Spa. In the evening we had dinner which included a dessert of banoffee pie, a great favourite with everyone!
Wednesday 18th April

Today we started in 2 separate groups. One group continued with their pottery, glass paintings and projects from yesterday. The other group tried 'pyrography' the art of burning patterns or images into wooden objects. After lunch we all got together to try out the Archery class and competition. After a short brake we ate dinner and had a game of Ten Pin bowling to finish off the day.

crafting Thursday 19th April

Our activity this morning was glass engraving. Everyone made a glass vase to take home and afterwards we painted more pottery. We took a break for lunch and then some made candles while some decided to do tennis and had a coaching session. In the evening we had our meal followed by the entertainment which this evening was called 'Silk & Strings'.
Friday 20th April

After breakfast some enjoyed the zumba activity while the rest made bags, casts of mugs using hot press printing with our photos. Afterwards we all tried a new sport called new age bowls. Then we had a go at playing curling for the first time followed by a competition. After dinner we had another Tenpin Bowling game followed by a pub quiz. We had a good score of 86 out of 120.

ice skating Saturday 21st April

We had a busy day ahead of us today. So we quickly ate breakfast and then some of us participated in a hula hoop fitness class. The others were coached in how to play bowls then an ice skating activity and then a porcelain transfer class. We made plates and mugs with designs on them. Then we picked up our glazed pottery, thankfully none of it had broken. In the afternoon we had a range of activities including badminton where James won a prize! After our evening meal we had our photos taken and enjoyed the quiz and listened to 'Ash Denver' and danced along. We then packed our suitcases ready for tomorrow's departure.
Sunday 22nd Apri

Today we had a quick breakfast before getting ready to leave. We had all had such a good time we did not want to leave!
