Today after breakfast we walked to the beach where we had a picnic. Afterwards some of us went swimming in the sea. We relaxed and had a drink in the cafe. In the evening we had a nice meal. Then some of us listened to the live entertainment at the hotel next door to us.
Tuesday 11th September

After breakfast we took a minibus to Trogir, this is the closest town to our apartments. Some of us walked around a historic castle and had the chance to play archery at the castle. We then had lunch, most had pizza in a lovely cafe. We went gift shopping before returning back to the hotel. After some rest and relaxation we had our evening meal. Some then enjoyed a drink in the bar and some wanted to have a drink in the beach bar.

Then we decided to stop in a cafe for pancakes. In the evening we ate our evening meal and listened to the singer at the entertainment and danced the night away.
Thursday 13th September

Today we were driven in the hotel minibus to The National Park and the amazing waterfalls, situated in Southern Croatoa. We had the chance to visit a church and see some wonderful scenery along with the waterfalls. They are situated in the Krka River and known for a series of 7 waterfalls. We then enjoyed a picnic lunch in beautiful surroundings. Later, we ate our evening meal and had another chance to take in the entertainment at the hotel next door to us and to dance the night away.

We decided to write our postcards after breakfast. After our picnic on the balcony we went for a swim in the hotel pool, next door. This was Sue's first time in the water, on the holiday. It was a lovely large pool for those who wanted to swim. In the evening we enjoyed the entertainment again. Sue was loving the chance to dance again and she actually had applause for her dance moves!
Saturday 15th September

Today we walked along the picturesque seafront. It was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies. Along the route we came across gym equipment and everyone, especially Martin, enjoyed trying it out. We then all played air hockey, darts and pool on the pool tables, all under a sun shade. We made a record of the points to use towards prizes at the end of the holiday. We had lunch in a cafe followed by swimming in the sea. Later after our meal we played bingo and had a quiz on Jo and Elaine's balcony.

It was another beautiful sunny day and we strolled around the town, stopped for a picnic lunch and had the chance to shop for gifts and souvenirs. We also bought the stamps for our post cards and had a drink in a cafe and enjoyed the view across the sea. We travelled back by minibus and after dinner enjoyed the entertainment again.

We went travelling on a two hour cruise to the Croatian City of Split where we visited a Roman temple built in 300AD. We bought gifts and ate lunch in the square. In the evening after dinner we went to the entertainment, unfortunately the play was in Croatian so we could not understand it but it was an experience.

Sunday 22nd September

We visited the beach today and some of the group went on the kayaks and paddle boards. We had a picnic for lunch and then we played a games competition followed by swimming. We also packed our bags ready for going home tomorrow. Dinner this evening was special as the hotel had made a birthday cake for Daniel's birthday (which was the next day). We had organized the cake, candles, sparklers and balloons. As we were travelling back tomorrow we all had an early night

Saturday 23rd September

We all woke up early as we had to be at the airport early this morning. The flight was actually delayed by an hour but this was of course out of our control. It was a tiring day but we had so many great memories of our holiday!
