After a long journey we all arrived at Butlins excited to start our holiday. We got into our beautiful "gold" apartment where we unpacked and 'settled in'. We went out for dinner at Butlins version of Nandos and then some of the group headed to watch the 'Robbie Williams' tribute act.
One of the rides we enjoyed
This morning we all woke up refreshed and ready to go, after a good night's sleep. We enjoyed a breakfast of cereals, yoghurt, waffles, pancakes, brioche and crumpets before putting on our sun cream and packing our rain coats! We headed over to the fair, some of us enjoyed the waltzer, paraglide ride, swings, go-karts, carousel and dodgems. Then we went to the Big Top Circus and found a table in front of the stage to eat our packed lunch. We enjoyed our sandwiches whilst watching the Red Coats on the stage. Later in the afternoon we headed over to the arcades and everyone loved the '2p' slot machines! After a busy day we relaxed at the apartment and got ready for the evening. For our meal we had fajitas and cheese cake before hitting the bar to watch an 'Ed Sheeran' tribute act.
After finishing our delicious breakfast in the apartment we made our way down to the discovery studio to see the Discovery animals. Then we went for a drink in the cafe whilst waiting for our bowling lane time slot. We played a competitive game of bowling which helped us to work up an appetite for our lunch. After lunch some of us went swimming and the others went to watch a show. In the Splash Waterworld we swam around and got squirted by jets in the whirlpool. We sped down the waterslides and drifted around the lazy river, it even went outdoors. The Paddington Bear at the seaside show was thoroughly enjoyed by the rest of the group. In the evening we ate some scrummy spaghetti bolognaise followed by apple strudle and cream. We then headed to the 'Reds Bar' to watch a Jess Glynn tribute act.
Today we split into 2 groups. Sam and Ken went to play mini golf. Ken won by a few points. Anita and Natasha watched a puppet show and then went shopping. We all met up for lunch and then went to the arcades. Afterwards some of the group went to watch Sleeping Beauty and some played laser tag and won. We then made a start on our packing and headed out for our last evening meal. Later we watched a live band and enjoyed singing along.
Our last day and time to say good bye and make our way home.
