We arrived at 5pm at Butlins. We all checked in to our rooms and set about unpacking and making ourselves at home. We took a stroll around Butlins before getting some fish & chips for our evening meal (It's great to be on holiday!)
This morning we had breakfast at a great 'diner'. We visited the funfair, Robert enjoyed going on a ride. We watched some younger children who were being coached with their football training. At lunch time we stopped for baguettes and later in the afternoon Kevin went to a show while the rest of us enjoyed a relaxing sunbathing session. In the evening we had a meal at Papa John's Pizza, then Jaz, Kevin and Malcolm went to a "Ratpack Show".
We all had breakfast then the girls went to watch 'climbing high wires'. The boys decided to go for a walk to the beach, where they went on a beach front train. Tonight we ate at The American Diner where there was a really good atmosphere. Then on to a show in the Centre Stage of Butlins.
Again, we started the day eating breakfast ready for our day trip out to Arundel Castle. The Castle boasts "The Castle Gardens" which have different themed gardens. Arundel Castle was built in the 11th Century and overlooks the river Arun. We had lunch and some tea in the castle grounds, it was a beautiful day. In the evening we ate out and then saw an Elvis show.
In Hilary's words " After a good holiday, we are all heading back home in the sun!".Time to say our good - bye.
