11th
April
Some of us were collected by Options staff and driven to Butlins
Bognor Regis, where, on arrival, we met up with Eoin. We all settled
into our rooms and unpacked our belongings.
For the evening’s entertainment, we all went to Papa John’s to eat
pizza, followed by ice cream (for those of us whose stomachs weren’t
already full!)
After dinner, we went to Centre Stage to watch Greg’s Takeaway which
was great fun. After participating in a quiz, we were then entertained
by a live band called Rachel and the South Coast Boys. Kirstine, Marcus
and
Eoin all danced.
12th April
This morning we all met for breakfast which we all enjoyed. We
decided to visit the fair ground and to experience the various rides on
offer. There were also traditional fairground games with prizes on
offer; we all won pizza prizes!
After lunch, we went on the go-karts and tried our hands at archery.
We excelled at this, and as we won 2 out of 3 games, were declared the
overall winners. Whilst at the fairground, Marcus got a temporary
tattoo!
For
dinner, we visited Beachcombers restaurant which we all enjoyed, after
which, we headed back to Centre Stage to be entertained by The Ragdolls;
this being a tribute to Frankie Vallie. Afterwards, we danced to Rachel
and the South Coast Boys who were fabulous.
13th April
Today
was Sarah’s 50th Birthday.
We all chose to revisit the fairground and experience the rides we
had yet to go on. Marcus and Eoin showed no fear of heights as they both
scaled the climbing wall and did really well! We all tried our luck in
the games arcade.
After lunch, we watched a performance of the Skyline Gang and Rumble
in the Jungle, both of which were fabulous. As the weather was good, we
decided to play adventure golf, which was won by Sue.
For
our evening’s entertainment, we had dinner and sang Happy Birthday to
Sarah who had the task of blowing out a birthday candle in her banana
split. We then made our way to Centre Stage to watch performances from a
Little Mix tribute band and The Hitmakers.
14th April
This morning we went swimming with Eoin particularly enjoying the
rapids, whilst Sue favoured the white slide. After lunch, we played in
the games arcade and cashed in our winnings for sweets!
A
little later, we took a more leisurely approach to the afternoon and
decided to play bowls. Victor excelled himself gaining a score of over
107 and not surprisingly declared the winner!
In the evening, we took our meal at Burger King before going to watch
a panto called Aladdin Rocks; it really was a fantastic performance.
Afterwards, we danced to Rachel and the South Coast Boys. It was an
enjoyable evening and we were all tired by the time we retired back to
our hotel rooms.
15th April
Our last day. We cannot believe our holiday is over as it has gone so
quickly. We said our goodbyes to our newly-made friends and made our
journeys home.
