Today we drove through the New Forest, not far from Bournemouth. We saw the famous wild ponies, some donkeys and cattle before stopping off at Lymington where we enjoyed our lunch by the harbour. Later in the evening at the hotel we enjoyed the entertainment and some stayed up quite late.
Tuesday 27th August

We visited The Tank Museum at Bovington Camp in Dorset today. It is said to hold the largest collection of tanks in the World. There is so much to see and do. We took lots of photographs and had the chance to dress as a soldier. Some of the group took a ride in a tank. In the evening back at the hotel the entertainer was a singer.

Today we went for a boat trip around Poole harbour. It was a chance to take in the picturesque coastline. After our boat trip we returned to the hotel where some of the group enjoyed a swim while some relaxed in the sun.
Thursday 29th August

We travelled in an open top bus today and stopped at Poole Harbour for lunch. Then on to Poole where we visited The Poole Museum. This is a museum of local history and one of the exhibits was an old fashioned dentist chair. In the evening, at the hotel, we enjoyed dancing along with the music.

Friday 30th August

Today we were going to see the Air Show. We got a place so we could watch the show which was above the sea front at Bournemouth. There was also a chance to take a ride on the big wheel on the seafront. We enjoyed seeing all the different aircraft such as the typhoon plane, the spitfire, and the lancaster bomber. The lancaster was part of the 'Battle of Britain' tribute.
Saturday 31st August

It was the second day of the Air show and we went along to watch it again. The weather unfortunately was not as good as yesterday. So instead we had our lunch and then decided to do some shopping, Bournemouth has a very good choice of shops although it is a little hilly in places. In the evening after dinner we walked through the lovely gardens in Bournemouth and enjoyed the firework display
