We all arrived at the hotel for our holiday in Bouremouth. We meet up with Carolyn and Becky who are staying on for their second week. We found our rooms and unpacked before dinner. We had a discussion about the places that we would like to go an visit whist we were on holiday. That evening we had Carol's quiz night which was great fun.
Today we went to the Heavy Horse Centre. The Horses were lovely, we fed them with some horse food and brushed a tiny pony. We also had a ride on a horse and cart. After our picnic lunch we listened to the story of how the horses all came to be at the centre. Then we went on a tractor ride which was great fun and very bumpy. We had a look round at all the other animals, Becky and Amy went on the go-karts and several of us tried the death slide. That evening we have a great time dancing to the live singer Jane.
Today we all voted for a day at the beach. We went down to Boscombe beach and set ourselves up. Some of us went in the cafe and got milkshakes and ice creams. Becky, Amy and Kirstine all went swimming in the sea and had a fabulous time. We had our picnic on the beach and all enjoyed relaxing in the sun. When we got back the the hotel some people wanted to go swimming in the pool to wash off all the sand! In the evening we had carols quiz night with various games of bingo, higher or lower, whats in the box, lucky 13 and various general knowledge quizzies. Claire won the bingo.
Today we went for a drive through the New Forest to see the wild pony's. It was a lovely seeing them all wondering about. After our picnic lunch we went to Lyndhurst for a wonder round the shops to get various gifts and souvenirs. Some of us tried the some local ciders. We stopped off for afternoon tea in a little tea room. Some of us then went next door and had an ice cream too. Our entertainment in the evening was Dynamic Jo and his keyboard. We had a lovely evening dancing with Amy, Becky and Bev singing too.
Today we voted to go swimming at the hotel and use the Jacuzzi. Leslie spent most of his time in the Jacuzzi. Pauline, Sam and Becky waking into town to buy a few gifts and souvenirs whilst the others were swimming. After lunch everyone wanted to relax in the sun except Becky, Amy and Glynice who chose to play crazy golf with Tom. Becky won the game. That evening everyone danced at the disco with Mike Robbins taking request that he played on his keyboard, He was a great singer and very entertaining.
Today everyone wanted to go back to the beach as it was going to be a warm sunny day. When we arrived some of us went in the cafe for a drink while others set up or camp on the beach. The sun shone all day it was lovely. Amy got herself a body board to swim with in the sea. Carolyn, Sam, Becky and Ruth all paddled in the sea. Leslie chose to walk up and down the pier and have tea on the pier. We had a look around the shops and had a wonderful last day to our holiday. We couldn't believe it when it was time to go home and start our packing. After dinner several of us walked down to the pier to watch the fireworks.
Today we said our goodbyes and could not believe it was time to go home the week had flown by. Becky and Ruth were very lucky as they were staying on for a second week in Bouremouth.
