Some of us were picked up by Tom and the others of us met at the Laguna Hotel. We all introduced ourselves at as we meet at dinner. After dinner we headed to the bar for Carols quiz night with questions, card games, higher or lower and bingo. It was a great night and we are all looking forward to our holiday.
Today we went to Poole Pottery. We had a cake and a drink and then had a look round to choose what pottery we would like to paint. After painting our potery we went to Poole Park and had a picnic lunch. After dinner we ewre entertained by Michael Robins who sang and played the keyboard. We all suggested songs and danced to the music.
This morning we went swimming in the pool at the hotel. We also went in the Jacuzzi. After a picnic lunch in the hotel gardens we went to Tower Park to go bowling. We had a fabulous time with Kate getting the higest score of 120. David T, Kate and Tom all got strikes. After dinner we went to the bar for our nightly game of bingo. This was followed by dancing with Heidi singing. She was very good and again sang our reuests with Abba being the most popular getting everyone up dancing.
Today we went to the Heavy Horse Centre. We had a look round at all the large horses and fed them. We saw the tiny ponys that were no bigger than a dog! They are very cute. We fed the goats who were more interested in eating our bags and clothes! After a picnic lunch some of us had a go at driving a tractor, it was brilliant fun. We also saw donkeys, turkeys, rabbits and pigs. To round the day off we had a ride in a horse drawn cart and john went on the tractor and trailer. In the evening David and Sarah won the bingo then we danced at the disco.
This morning we wnet on the swanage railway. We had a steam train ride to Swanage where we walked down to the sea fron and sat by the sea to have our picnic. It was lovely and warm so some of us had ice creams too. After lunch we wondered round the shops to get a few gifts, souveniers and postcards. We walked back up to the station to catch the steam train back to Norton. we had fabulous views of Corfe Castle . When we got back to the hotel we were joined by Becky a new holiday maker. That evening we had Carols quiz night. Carolyn won the bingo but we didn't manage to win any quizzes.
Today we went for a walk through the gardens into town. We had a look round the shops getting some gifts and souvieners. Becky and Alistair had a go on the carosel. It was a lovely sunny day so after our picnic at the sea front we headed back through the park, stopping for ice cream on the way. We arrived back at the hotel to do our packing before dinner. After dinner we had a few drinks in the bar. Some of us chose to watch the olympics and others wanted to walk down to the pier to watch the fireworks. A great end to a fab holiday.
This morning we all said our goodbyes as we set off to our homes. Carolyn and Becky we staying on for a 2nd week of fun.
