along with Jane, John, Mirium & Alison.
We all arrived safely after a long journey. We enjoyed our meal followed by relaxing in the lounge and listening to the hotel entertainment. We also played a game of bingo.
Today we went to the zoo and the weather was lovely. We watched the animals and talked about where they live in the wild and what they eat. Sonia read the information to us from her leaflet. Later, at the hotel the evening entertainment was a singer who was really good. Nathan, Robert and David were all up dancing and singing.
We took a trip on a tram to the centre of Blackpool. This was a chance to do some shopping and take in the atmosphere of the seaside town. We have been lucky with the weather with another sunny day. Jackie bought some clothes which Alison and Jane admired. In the evening we enjoyed our meal followed by the entertainment which was good and the boys in the group enjoyed singing along again.
Today we caught a tram, which Peter loved riding on, to The Blackpool Tower. Once there we had a drink, when we ate our picnic lunch the seagulls tried to eat our food! We spent the afternoon at The Circus. Some of the group opted for "face painting" and they looked really good. Everyone had a great time! We then went back to the hotel for dinner and dancing.
We walked down towards The Pleasure Beach today, stopping off for a lovely lunch along the way. Some went on the big dipper and the ghost train rides at The Pleasure Beach and a good time was had by all. We took some great photos with the scary characters from the ghost train. As we were tired we took the tram back and again Peter loved this. Later we had our dinner followed by dancing. Peter danced with a young lady he had met the year before!
Today we caught the tram to the North Pier and listened to the organist playing music whilst we enjoyed lunch. We did a little shopping along the way walking back to the Central Pier. Jackie and Steve had their photo taken while wearing Victorian costumes and they looked amazing. We had done a lot of walking today so we caught the tram back to the hotel for our evening meal and entertainment.
Today we had lunch at The Blue Bay Hotel and then went to The Blackpool Tower where Nathan and Jackie went to the very top! They even stood on the glass floor overlooking the great height of the tower below. Later we packed ready for tomorrow and went to bed early.
Our last day and we had an early start this morning. We had breakfast before getting on the minibus and heading for home.
