My mum dropped me off at the Travel Lodge in Cirencester. I was greeted by Jade, then we travelled up to Newcastle under Lyme where we stopped at the Holiday Inn. On the way we stopped for a coffee at the Frankley services. When I arrived at the hotel I settled into my room and unpacked. We then went for a meal at the hotel and afterwards I went straight to bed as I was tired from the travelling.
I got up at 7:30am, made myself a cup of tea, had breakfast in the hotel and left around 9:15am. We got to Alton Towers around 10:30am. It was a 15 minute walk to the entrance of the park, where I could see the remains of the corkscrew, the first roller coaster to open in the park in 1980. The main reason why I visited was to try the newest coaster Wickerman based on the horror film. I went on some of the rides and after lunch we took the sky ride to the x sector of the park to ride Oblivion another coaster. Jade did not have the nerve to ride this one. We went on Rita, Queen of Speed. The gardens at the park were beautiful. Finally we got the sky ride back to the entrance as the park was about to close for the day. It was worth visiting Alton Towers even though I have been many times! On the way back we stopped for a meal at Frankie & Benny's restaurant. Then we went back to the hotel.
I got up at 8am to get breakfast, then left the hotel to get to Alton Towers for 10:30am. When we arrived we decided to get the monorail that took us to the entrance. oday Jade and I priorotised for the attractions we did not go on on Saturday. So we spent time walking around the CBeebies Land which is home to rides and attractions, based on Children;s TV programs. We saw people who were dressed in costumes and we managed to catch the 'Bing Bunny Picnic Show'. Unfortunately, due to long queues and having to leave the park early we only managed to go on three rides. It was good to ride The Duel Strikes Back, it is a haunted house ride where you use laser guns to shoot targets and score points.
